Description

This Cinnamon Vanilla Syrup is a sweet and delicious topper for your morning pancakes, waffles, french toast and more!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 Tablespoons half and half (or whole milk), optional

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over high heat, combine the water and brown sugar. Cook, stirring frequently, until it comes to a boil.  Reduce heat to medium and continue cooking, stirring constantly, until all the sugar is dissolved and the syrup thickens.
  2. Remove from heat and whisk in the cinnamon, vanilla and half and half (if using).  Serve warm over pancakes. Keep stored in the fridge for up to 1 month.

Notes

Re-warm in the microwave and whisk to mix after storage in the fridge when using again.
