A yummy way to boost milk production, this Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Oatmeal is a delicious and healthy way to start off your day. It’s like eating dessert for breakfast!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 Tablespoons milled flax seed
- 1–2 teaspoons brewer’s yeast (optional, but really helps with milk production)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup pecans, chopped (or your choice of chopped nuts, optional)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, bring the milk, cinnamon and nutmeg to a boil.
- Add the oats, brown sugar, flax seed and brewer’s yeast (if using); stir well. Return to a boil; reduce heat to medium. Cook 3-5 minutes or until most of the liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in vanilla, raisins, and pecans. Let stand until desired consistency. Top with additional milk or brown sugar, as desired.
