Description

Sweet pears drizzled with maple syrup and filled with crunchy oats and pecans. These Maple Pecan Baked Pears are a healthier dessert option and will have your home smelling like fall!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pears
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped pecans
  • 1 Tablespoon rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Wash the pears, removing and dirt or debris. Cut each in half and remove the stems and core. Place them cut side up on prepared baking sheet. (Hint: to keep the pears from rolling around, make a quarter size slice on the opposite side of the pear to create a flat surface, removing as little as possible while still making it stable).
  2. In a small bowl, combine the chopped pecans, rolled oats and olive oil. Stir until the olive oil is evenly distributed throughout the mixture. Spoon 1/4 of the mixture into each pear.
  3. Drizzle 1/2 teaspoon on each pear. Sprinkle with a dash of cinnamon.
  4. Place in preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes. Remove from oven; serve warm.
