Green Veggie Pesto Pizza
Pizza night doesn’t have to be unhealthy. I like to include plenty of vegetables and use different flavorful toppings, like pesto. My kids call this “Popeye pizza” because the Swiss chard is very much like spinach, and they think it makes them feel strong.
Feel free to add other green veggies, such as arugula, peas, spinach, green bell pepper, or zucchini. I tend to put whatever I have on hand, making sure my green veggies don’t go to waste!
You can make your own pizza dough, divide it into individual balls, and freeze them, pulling them out whenever you need it for pizza night. Defrost frozen pizza dough at room temperature for about 2 hours.
If you enjoy this recipe as much as my family, be sure to grab your copy of The Healthy Family Cookbook here (affiliate link) so you can have even more delicious and nutritious recipes!
