Hello there! I am a Utah-based Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES - formerly CDE) with a Master of Dietetics Administration from Utah State University. Since becoming a registered dietitian in 2011, I have worked to provide tailored nutrition coaching and sustainable life changing services for my clients.
I truly believe in an "everything in moderation" approach and encourage clients to ditch the diet mentality and enjoy real, whole foods - and yes, that includes dessert! My passion is health and nutrition; but I also love cooking and baking in the kitchen with my family and being active. I enjoy most physical activity, including running, home video workouts, basketball, soccer, hiking, riding my bike, and walking.

At home, I am the wife to a wonderful husband (aka the hubs) and mom to three handsome boys and two beautiful girls. My family is my number one priority, so recipes and blog posts may not be as regular as I'd like. I enjoy crafting, reading, playing the piano, gardening, being outdoors, coaching my kids sports teams, and simply spending time with the hubs and my kids. My favorite foods are strawberries, roasted vegetable chicken lasagna, and dark chocolate.
I am the owner and writer of Your Choice Nutrition blog, a healthy lifestyle, food and fitness blog, which I use as a way to share my passion for health, cooking, baking and all things nutrition with all of you.
Whether encouraging you to try a healthier version of a classic recipe, go running for the first time, or helping your kids form a positive relationship with food, I aim to show you that it doesn't have to be complex or expensive for your family to be healthy - and in fact, it can even be fun!
On my blog, you'll find family-friendly and healthy recipes, exercise tips, and other timely health and wellness information.
I am a member of several professional organizations including, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Utah Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists.
