The Inside Scoop:
I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! I have been MIA on the blog this week due to getting home late a few nights. I have some great posts planned for next week, though – so stay tuned! This past weekend we were able to spend some time with my husband’s family, which we don’t get to do very often. We had a great time! Our little boy loves being around all the cousins and playing with them. Sadly, the vacation has ended and now it’s back to the regular day-to-day routine!

Worth Reading:
The Good, Bad and Ugly of Blogging via Nutrition Unplugged (RD Janet Helm talks about the possible dangers of some food and fitness blogs. Some of what they advocate is “perfectly sensible. But it is often served up with a hefty side dish of misinformation and encouragement of food phobias.” Check out her list of 10 blogs to follow!)
What Should We Do About #DearFatPeople? via
The Bulletproof Diet: Full of Bullet Holes? via Food Fit Fabulous. (This is actually a podcast that dives into the premise of the bulletproof coffee eating trend if it lives up to it’s name or not.)
Becoming a Morning Exerciser via Pretty Little Grub. (RD Jen Rawson gives some great tips to help those of us who are less-than-enthusiastic about working out in the mornings. I’ll have to see if any of them will work for me!)
Worth Eating:
Sunflower Seed Butter and Strawberry Wafflewich via Holley Grainger. (This is a great alternative to the traditional PB & J – and makes it fun for the kids to eat! Swapping out the jelly and adding in real fruit is my favorite part of this “wafflewich”.)
Healthy Chocolate Mousse Breakfast for Stressful Mornings via Mommyhood Bytes. (This super easy recipe will surely leave you satisfied and maybe a bit less stressed on those busy and hectic mornings!)
Pumpkin Apple Baked Mini Pancakes via The Lean Green Bean. (Ready for fall recipes? With no added sugar, these Pumpkin Apple Baked Mini Pancakes look really easy to make, are kid-friendly and are full of fall flavors!)
Classic Comfort Food Made Healthier via Dr. Janet Brill. (We all love comfort food, right? Make those loved foods a little healthier with some simple swaps while still tasting great! Plus, a recipe for Creamy Whole Grain Mac ‘n Cheese.)
