If you have been on Pinterest lately, you might have noticed a new trend in the way of smoothies. Yes, smoothies are all the rage, but now people are moving outside the cup and into bowls! Perhaps it’s because people want the goodness of smoothies, but want the feel of actually eating their breakfast or post-workout snack with a spoon instead of just drinking it. It seems more satisfying, plus they are fun to make! All the different toppings you can choose from can make for a beautiful design on top.
One thing with smoothie bowls that is slightly different than a traditional smoothie is the consistency. Smoothie bowls are thicker than smoothies you drink. All you need to do is slightly decrease the amount of liquid to create a thicker smoothie. I like to replace some of the liquid with yogurt. Yogurt, being a dairy product, is a good source of calcium and also has some protein.

This Peachy Green Smoothie Bowl, featuring Real California Milk, is a delicious and nutritious breakfast for everyone in the family.
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/2 cup yogurt featuring the Real California Milk seal
- 1/4 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 banana
- 1 cup packed spinach
- 1 cup frozen peaches
Toppings:
- banana slices
- sliced strawberries
- blueberries
- chia seeds
Instructions
- Place all ingredients, except the toppings, in a blender in order of listing. Blend for 30-60 seconds until completely smooth and pureed. Pour into a bowl. Add desired toppings. Stir and enjoy!
