Hi all! I’ve been MIA on the blog for the past little while, but it’s all been for a very good reason, I promise. We welcomed baby #3 into our family last month and boy, does she like to take all of my time! Fitting in the daily home/life necessities is a challenge, let alone getting to any work-life business. But seriously, who can say no to this face?
Anyone with a newborn knows that quick and easy meals and snacks are a must. There’s no time to slave over the stove all day for your food – because let’s face it, babies are needy! Being a new mom I need all the time and energy I can get. In addition to being easy, my food also needs to nourish my body. Healthy and filling foods keeps me going throughout the day (and night) to take care of my kids and I. That’s why I’m glad for options like Silk Soymilk Yogurt Alternative.
I first tried Silk Soymilk Yogurt Alternative about a year ago. I was experiencing some GI discomfort and needed to eliminate dairy from my diet. I LOVE yogurt and didn’t want to lose it from my diet altogether. I was so excited when I found Silk made a non-dairy/lactose free yogurt alternative. I was a little skeptical at first on how it would taste, but I bought it anyway and boy, am I glad I did. It is thick, smooth & creamy and tastes delicious – not to mention all the great flavors they have! Now that I am able to eat dairy again I still buy Silk Soymilk Yogurt Alternative because it tastes that good.
Another reason I love Silk is because they praise consumers for making those small decisions which lead to the path of bettering themselves. Re: it’s not all or nothing! I love when a company isn’t pushing you to be stick thin or saying you have to do #allthegoals at once to be healthy. A company with good values is something I can stand behind.
Though my diet definitely isn’t perfect, I can make small choices during the day that add up to a healthy diet in the long run. As I am working towards getting my postpartum body back in shape I realize I have a long way to go and it won’t be easy – especially if I want to do it in a healthy way. I keep reminding myself: progress is perfection. For this reason, Silk Soymilk yogurt alternative is one of my go-to options for a delicious, nourishing and easy breakfast or snack (it checks all my boxes!). I love to top it with some fresh fruit and oats, adding even more fiber, vitamins and minerals!
It’s an easy and intuitive choice because it tastes great, is nutritious, and is made from real plant-based food. All that plant-based food means it’s vegan friendly, too. In fact, one serving has 6g of plant-powered protein, contains live & active cultures and is an excellent source of calcium & vitamin D. There is also NO artificial colors or flavors!
If you are a skeptic like I was, I dare you to try it for yourself and see just how delicious and nourishing it really is! Even better, right now you can get a coupon to use to purchase Silk Dairy-Free Yogurt Alternative yourself! What have you got to lose?

And for all you mama’s out there, remember progress IS perfection. Don’t get caught up in diet culture that tells you you aren’t good enough until you are a size 2, have a thigh gap or are a champion cross fitter – because all that doesn’t matter and isn’t realistic. It doesn’t matter where you are in your journey right now, realize you are perfect just the way you are. You working towards a goal, no matter how big or small is something to be proud of. Remember, progress is perfection!
