Add some color and sweetness to your dip this holiday season with this Pomegranate Guacamole. It’s sure to be a crowd pleaser!
Holidays are the time to spend time with family and friends. And eat good food, of course! Finger foods and tasty appetizers are a staple at holiday get-togethers of all sorts. Chips and dip are no exception to this.
Guacamole is one of my favorite dips because I love avocados plus all the seasonings and flavor that gets added in. But why settle for ordinary when you can have extraordinary?! uh huh. I’m talking about taking your guac to the next level: ruby status.
I actually got the idea to add pomegranate arils to guacamole from a holiday party I attended last year. I had to try and recreate it and I’m pretty sure I hit the nail on the head with this one.
Pomegranates go surprisingly well with the flavors and creaminess of the guacamole, while lending a juicy sweetness and texture difference to keep things interesting.
Plus, besides you are not only getting the power house nutrition of avocado (healthy fats, I’m talking to you!), but the super food nutrition from the pomegranate as well (antioxidants, anyone?)! That’s one healthy and delicious dip!
Bring some bling to your next holiday party with this Pomegranate Guacamole Share on XDid I mention it was good looking, too? I just LOVE the color contrast between the avocado and pomegranate!
Serve with your choice of chips, crackers or even chopped veggies for a great appetizer your family and friends will be wowing over!
